Vegetarian diets almost twice as effective in reducing body weight, study finds

Dieters who go vegetarian not solely drop pounds more successfully than those on typical low-calorie diets but in addition improve their metabolism by decreasing muscle fat, a new research revealed in the Journal of the American School of Vitamin has found.

Dropping muscle fat improves glucose and so this finding is especially necessary for individuals with metabolic syndrome and sort 2 diabetes, says lead writer, Dr. Hana Kahleová, Director of Medical Analysis on the Physicians Committee for Responsible Drugs in Washington DC.
