Springfield Board of Health Announces Blood Pressure Screenings, Vaccinations – Springfield NJ News

SPRINGFIELD, NJ—Hepatitis B and influenza vaccinations and blood pressure screenings have been scheduled by the Springfield Health Department, the township’s board of health announced at its meeting on Wednesday.

Although specific dates for Hepatitis B vaccinations have not yet been announced, the township health department has applied for state funding to cover vaccines for police, fire and emergency squad members at no cost.

Township health officer Michael Fitzpatrick noted at the meeting, however, that first priority for the state funding will go to those communities with volunteer first responders before it goes to communities with paid departments.
