Nevada forces drug makers to reveal insulin pricing, profits

(AP) — Nevada now has the nation’s strictest rules requiring pharmaceutical corporations to reveal how they set certain prescription drug costs.

The invoice Gov. Brian Sandoval signed on Thursday is sharply targeted in insulin — considered one of many life-sustaining prescription remedies bought in America at costs which have skyrocketed in the last decade.

The brand new regulation, which takes impact Oct. 1, mandates drug makers to annually reveal their insulin prices, income, and discounts given to market middlemen.

America’s three insulin producers will face fines of $5,000 every day they fail to offer the info without rationalization.
