MIT and Harvard are working on a tattoo with biosensors to track your glucose and sodium levels — Quartz

MIT and Harvard researchers have created color-changing tattoos that would, in the future, monitor your pH, glucose, and sodium levels. DermalAbyss replaces typical tattoo ink with biosensors, which reply to modifications in the skin’s interstitial fluid that surrounds tissue cells.

It’s at present a proof-of-concept, and has solely been examined on pig skin. However researchers envision that at some point, diabetics might get a biosensor tattoo to watch their glucose levels without every day finger prick checks.
