Jamal Murray talks to Sportsnet about trade rumors, his diet and more

Jamal Murray has had a busy offseason as the sophomore guard has been traveling the world all while working to overcome the surgery to repair his core muscles in preparation for the upcoming season. Most recently, Murray was back home in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada to put on a basketball clinic for local children, and while there Donnovan Bennett of Canada’s Sportsnet caught up with the Nuggets protector for a Q&A.

Highlights from the meeting include being involved in trade rumors:-LRB-************)

SN:-LRB-*****************) This is the first experience with the crazy NBA off-season and rumour mill. How are you managing it?

Murray:-LRB-*****************) It’s different knowing I could be in Cleveland at the moment. I could be in Minnesota. I could be everywhere in a few days. It is kind of nerve wracking because you don’t understand what’s happening|nerve and there are so many|are rumours. I just have to keep ready and prepared .

And what Murray is looking forward to the most this next season:-LRB-************)

SN:-LRB-*****************) What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?

Murray:-LRB-*****************) I’m excited to be healthy. I think that is the biggest thing. Last year wasn’t the finest in terms of my health. It’s going to be a good deal of fun to have the ability to move and do what I really do like I used to without any pain|It is going to be a good deal of fun to have the ability to move and do what I do like I used to without any pain this year.

Murray also talks about improving his game, communicating with his teammates during the offseason, his travels around the world this summer, and his new diet (partially inspired by Wilson Chandler).
