High blood pressure symptoms: Add melon to your diet to lower hypertension | Health | Life & Style

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is common and affects more than one in four adults in the UK.

Certain foods you eat can have a negative effect on high blood pressure, such as those that contain high levels of salt.

But people who follow a high blood pressure diet like the DASH diet can lower their systolic blood pressure by seven to 12 points, according to nutritionist Dr Josh Axe.

On his site, he also recommends some of the best foods that lower blood pressure naturally, including vegetables like spinach and kale, and beans and legumes.

Eating fresh fruits like melon can also help control blood pressure.
