Diabetes type 2 diet: Prevent high blood sugar symptoms with turmeric curry

Diabetes is a common condition that affects around 3.7 million people in the UK.

It’s caused by the body not producing enough of the hormone insulin, or the body not reacting to insulin.

Insulin is used by the body to convert sugar in the blood into useable energy. Without enough insulin, the sugar in the blood can build up – a condition known as hyperglycaemia, or high blood sugar.

But you could avoid high blood sugar by eating more curry, a nutritionist has claimed.

Curry is a great meal choice for diabetes patients to avoid blood sugar spikes, revealed CuraLin nutritionist, Dr Sarah Brewer.
